El despliegue gráfico de esta exposición se concibió a partir del carácter histórico que atraviesa el trabajo de Gabriela Pinilla. A partir de la recopilación de datos y las entrevistas realizadas para el proyecto La venganza de la historia, surgió la necesidad de incorporar un componente de archivo como parte esencial del relato expositivo.
El sistema museográfico se estructuró en torno al diseño de un cabezote tipográfico que funcionara como elemento identitario principal y, desde este, se desarrolló un sistema visual adaptable, articulado con una hoja de sala concebida como guía para el visitante. Esta pieza fue pensada para ser fácilmente reproducible en cualquier impresora doméstica, reforzando la noción de accesibilidad y circulación del contenido.
La imagen central de la exposición corresponde a una de las obras en las que “La Chiqui” aparece escondida mientras un helicóptero de búsqueda irrumpe en la escena, condensando la intención de narrar la vida de Carmenza Cardona Londoño. La hoja de sala fue diseñada en formato de fanzine plegable, con un mapa del espacio expositivo y los títulos de las obras: un recurso portátil que el visitante puede llevar consigo y que reúne toda la información esencial de la muestra.

The graphic display of this exhibition was conceived from the historical nature that defines Gabriela Pinilla’s work. Drawing on the data collection and interviews conducted for the project La venganza de la historia (The Revenge of History), the inclusion of an archival component emerged as a key element within the exhibition narrative.
The museographic system was structured around the design of a typographic header that served as the main identity element. From this, a flexible visual system was developed and extended to a handout designed as a visitor’s guide. This piece was conceived to be easily reproduced on any home printer, reinforcing the notions of accessibility and dissemination.
The central image of the exhibition comes from one of the works in which “La Chiqui” is hidden while a search helicopter disrupts the scene—an image that encapsulates the curatorial intent to tell the story of Carmenza Cardona Londoño. The handout was designed as a foldable fanzine, featuring a map of the exhibition space and the titles of the works: a portable resource that visitors can take with them, containing all the essential information about the show.

El despliegue museográfico de la exposición de Emma Reyes en la Galería La Cometa (Bogotá) buscó fortalecer el relato curatorial desde la construcción de la identidad de la muestra. Para ello, se desarrollaron una línea de tiempo y un plegable que acompañaban al visitante durante el recorrido por los dos pisos de la galería.
La historia de Emma Reyes sigue siendo desconocida para gran parte del público colombiano. Por esta razón, una de las principales intenciones de la exposición fue dar a conocer aspectos esenciales de su vida y su obra, resaltando su relevancia en el arte y la cultura del siglo XX. El guion curatorial se propuso no solo presentar su producción artística, sino también acercar al público a su voz y a la dimensión humana de su trayectoria, integrando recursos gráficos y narrativos que facilitaran la comprensión y propiciaran una experiencia más cercana y significativa.

The museographic design of the Emma Reyes exhibition at Galería La Cometa (Bogotá) sought to strengthen the curatorial narrative through the construction of the exhibition’s visual and conceptual identity. To achieve this, a timeline and an accompanying leaflet were developed to guide visitors throughout the two floors of the gallery.
The story of Emma Reyes remains unfamiliar to much of the Colombian public. For this reason, one of the main objectives of the exhibition was to share key aspects of her life and work, highlighting her significance within twentieth-century art and culture. The curatorial script aimed not only to present her artistic production but also to bring the audience closer to her voice and the human dimension of her journey, integrating graphic and narrative resources that enhanced understanding and encouraged a more intimate and meaningful experience.
